Crazy Day...and it's only noon

How could these adorable little ones cause so much craziness? Oh, it happens-

So, maybe if I write about how frustrating things have been this morning I'll find the humor in it. I know it's all funny stuff...looking back on it.

I've already washed both kids pee pee sheets and two sets of Tori's clothes. Ummmm, isn't she potty trained?

Josiah spilled my full coffee mug (notice that means I didn't get coffee) all over the floor and proceeded to walk through it soaking not only one pair of jammies but we had him doubled up to keep warm so he soaked two pairs.

I thought, I know what will help, let's go outside before it rains. So I told Tori to put her shoes and socks on as I got Siah ready. I'm still not sure why but she screamed at me, "No, I will never wear socks!" Guess who is wearing socks now...and forever.

Things I learned while outside on this frigid day: frozen tennis ball doesn't bounce very well. I also learned where Samson's thinks is a great place poop- the pathway from the front door to the firewood pile. Of course my ugg boots found that treasure and I proceeded to tracked it onto the sidewalk. Before I could clean it up I had to help a frantic Tori who couldn't get her shoes on...her sock were on though. Of course Josiah decided at that exact time to climb off his bike and crawl through the poop on his way to find out why his sister was crying. ARRRG!

To top it all off Tori peed her pants again when we came inside!

So now I'm staring at a mountain of laundry and dishes and thinking...I'm not going to do it right now! I'm going to think about everything I'm grateful for instead. Here goes: I get to stay home and raise my beautiful children. I have a hard working and loving husband and friends and family that will laugh with me. I have a washer & dryer and I don't have to go to the laundry mat anymore. I have extra sheets and a crazy amount of (free and cute) clothes for the kids. My coffee was not hot enough to burn Josiah and I can always make more...maybe I should cut back anyway. It's not raining so we were able to bundle up and go outside to play on wonderful toys in our own front yard. Tori has socks and shoes to wear. We have a gentle and loving guard dog and plenty of firewood. Josiah is so caring that he'll crawl through poo to comfort his sister...and I realized that he did it immediately. Tori's kidneys are working to produce pee! And finally, IT'S NAP TIME!

Bethany...if I could be there to give you a hug and laugh with you, I would! I can totally relate to your morning...we had one over here too, although it didn't include dog poo! You are a trooper, a great example, and a fantastic mom! Hang in there today...Jeff will be home soon...and the weekend is coming! Your kids are so adorable...and if you peek in on them when they are sleeping, they somehow know how to make it all better...just by being peaceful and cute!

Thanks for sharing this mad morning with us. I did laugh out loud as I can picture you telling this story in your voice just perfectly! You handled it well my friend...
