Jeff had a funny question for this Mother's Day. It was late in the evening and he had just finished massaging my feet (thanks man- that was sweet) and he asked me, "did you have a relaxing Mother's Day?" I quickly answered, "RELAXING?" I love being a mother but I don't think there is anything relaxing about it... ever! If the kids are sleeping, I'm trying to quietly get stuff done or sneak in some "me time" before they wake up. If they're awake... I'm usually multi-tasking while watching to make sure they're not getting hurt or in trouble. When I'm playing with them, it's fun and exhausting. Even when they're not around I'm usually talking about them or making sure I'm not late picking them up. Motherhood is many wonderful things but relaxing is not one of them. That's OK though, I'd rather the snuggles, giggles, tickles and LOVE that these little ones bless me with. So, while it wasn't a relaxing Mother's Day- it was a wonderful Mother's Day.
My Mother-in-law (who is fabulous) gave me a Martha Stewart Crafting book. (She knows what I love to do.) Tori helped me unwrap it and she was just as excited as I to get new craft ideas. Thanks Becky. Can't wait to start some new crafts.

Me and my precious little ones. I look relaxed don't I? But really I'm saying, "can you see the roses in the picture? Tori, please keep the wand out of his face. Siah, stop trying to grab the wand. Everyone, look at the camera. Smile. OK, we're late for church... I've got Siah you get Tori. Hurry, let's go.)
