She's a soccer player now
It took a couple weeks but Tori is finally a soccer PLAYER. The first two weeks were high drama. For the month leading up to the first game she tried to erase the date off the calendar. On her first day she held my hand and cried. She stood on the field for a moment with tears running down her face. We continually debated with ourselves why we were doing this and then we remembered that she was super excited at one point to give it a try and we knew she would love it once she got use to it. So, we returned the following week and she clung to me for the first half of the game and then stood on the field and watched the ball for the second half... with out tears. For some reason half way through the third game she really started to play. She ran towards the ball instead of away from it and she attempted to kick it. Yesterday she immediately took to the field without us by her side and she played the game. She ran after the ball, she smiled the entire time, and she kicked the ball a lot. She even made a GOAL... on her own team, but who cares! It was a goal. It has been fun to watch her progress. I am now officially a SOCCER MOM. I even have a Tori picture button, 3 kids, and a minivan to prove it.
Thanks Auntie Shelley, Auntie Len, and Mimi & Papa for coming out to her games. I know she loves the attention.

That scene sound so familiar! I am so glad she took the chance and now she loves it. Soccer players rock!
She is doing awesome! We were so proud of her last week :) What a 360 for Tori! It has been fun to watch her through this short soccer season ... I love seeing her confidence boosted!
