We finally got the call we've been waiting for

There is an 8 month old blond hair/hazel eyed little girl that is going to be ours in less than a month. Probably around the 20th of August. WOW! She's got a cute name that she'll keep (but I don't think I should post it or give any specific details). Her biological parents are no longer eligible for reunification services so her next hearing is for permanency. Basically it's very unlikely that anything will happen legally to hinder our ability to finalize adoption.

We started pursuing adoption almost exactly 2 years ago and have been actively waiting since January. To get a call in the middle of the day that changes your future forever is a crazy thing.

What's next?
We'll meet with her social worker early next week and then meet our little girl the weekend of the 20th and most likely bring her home with us. The next few weeks are going to be a blur! We have to completely finish our addition, move all the furniture around in the 3 bedrooms, get together clothes and gear, baby proof- again, and get ready welcome her into our lives. Oh, we're going on a week long vacation before we bring her home too. Bring it on, we're ready!

We are all very excited. Well, I'm not sure if Siah has a clue but when Tori was asked if she was a little excited she said, "No, I'm soooo excited". She was really hoping for a baby sister.

Congratulations Bethany and Jeff! I am so excited for you both and Tori. I know you will give her all the love she needs. She will be a very blessed child, as God has chosen you and your family to be her "Forever Family". You two are the most amazing people and parents. I am so proud of you both. You will love her just as much as you would if you had given birth to her. I know you will train her to love and serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Love you, Auntie Pam :^}

Wooooo-Hooooo!!! Yep, you were right about God's timing. Still, that's pretty crazy that you had a feeling it would happen right now. That sounds perfect that your family of four has a vacation before the baby comes. It is going to be amazing to see the blessings that come from this little girl's life. Praying for her and you while we wait for the big day!!
